Bluprynt was founded in 2023 to solve the compliance overhead that compliance teams at digital-securities issuers spend the most time on: drafting state disclosures and tracking transfer restrictions by hand.
The problem was visible to anyone who had watched compliance teams do their work.
Compliance teams at digital-securities issuers were spending an outsized share of their time on a task that was highly repetitive: identifying which states required notice filings for a given offering, what the transfer restrictions were per jurisdiction, when those restrictions expired, and whether any state had changed its rules since the last offering cycle.
Most teams were doing this in spreadsheets, shared documents, and email threads with outside counsel. The problem compounded with each additional offering. A team managing four concurrent offerings in 30 states was running a manual compliance tracking operation that consumed weeks of work every quarter.
Chris Brummer founded Bluprynt in 2023 in Washington DC to automate the parts of that workflow that were rule-based and document-driven. Bluprynt is not trying to replace the compliance judgment that experienced professionals bring. It is trying to eliminate the hours of purely mechanical work that consume their time before that judgment can be applied.
